XSquawkBox Bugs Page

This page contains a list of all known bugs. Please refer to this page before reporting a bug, or to learn how to work around a bug. See the end of the page to report a bug.

Known bugs that will probably not be fixed.

Planes may appear in the ground or floating above the ground.

This is due to the limitations of the protocol; different flight sims report altitude by different standards (center of gravity, landing gear, etc.); this cannot be fixed in the short term, but I am looking at this in the long term with the author of SquawkBox 3 for MSFS. This problem is exasperated when a match plane is poorly matched to its model. (If a skycrane is on the ground drawn as a jetranger the jetranger will appear to be hovering because it is so much smaller.)

Planes do not reflect each others landing lights or control surfaces.

This is limited by the protocol and will be addressed in a future version of XSquawkBox.
